Matthew Maki, has over 20 years in the
flooring industry. Through his extensive experience,
Matthew understands the mind of the consumer and the
importance of change in the market place. With the
help and support of his brother Bahram Maki,
an idea was implemented. They both wanted to bring
to the Calgary Market a different out look on
hardwood flooring. They wanted to attain an image in
the mind of the consumer.
Realizing Calgary is becoming a metropolis, yet the
community remained a price conscious community, they
decided to source great products, great quality and
a broad selection in species and grades with prices
that are more than affordable.
When this goal was achieved the next step was to
raise the standard in service and after sale
service.
To achieve this goal Bahram Maki decided bring his
service experience to the table. Bahram has been in
the service industry for almost 20 years. He states.
“In order to raise the standard of service, we must
learn to maintain and manage our customer
expectations. When learned, we can find ways to
exceed.” A good way to manage customer expectation
is to provide the consumer with as much information
as possible in order for the consumer to make
informed buying decisions. By doing this we have
eliminated any consequential surprises at the end of
all transactions.
Next was to find installers who have a passion for
doing their job. With passion comes detail
orientation, followed by punctuality and efficiency.
The two brothers ultimate goal was to become a full
service company that specializes in hardwood floors,
cork floors and laminate floors.
In the summer of 2001 the dream that once was had
become a reality.
